1929 Lincolnshire Carrots

Ingredients:

  • 12 small carrots

  • 1 cup of thin white sauce

  • ¾ teaspoon mustard

Method:

  1. Wash, scrape and slice carrots and put in greased casserole with a little boiling water and bake till tender

  2. Add mustard to the white sauce and pour over carrots

Mustard gives the sauce a distinctive flavor, particularly appetising with tender, young carrots.
