Gable Domestic Carpenter Cottage
No 83 (previously known as No 155) Hubble Street is a single story house constructed in timber framing and weatherboard cladding with a gabled corrugated iron roof. It is a simple restored expression of the Federation Bungalow style. The place is symmetrically planned with a central door flanked by twin pane double hung sash windows. The facade features a full width skillion roofed verandah supported on timber posts.
HISTORY
1932 Death on May 14, at her late residence, 155 Hubble-street, East Fremantle, Ellen Mary, dearly beloved wife of Con Barran and loving mother of Eileen. Passed away. A patient sufferer at rest. (reference)

1967 What began as a routine inquiry into a minor accident had a much more serious sequel in the Beverley Police Court on Friday, February 10, when Robert D. Edgley, of 83 Hubble Street, East Fremantle, pleaded guilty to charges of driving without a license and careless driving, and was fined a total of $130. He was also disqualified from holding a license for six months, and ordered to pay costs amounting to $14.40. (reference)
